Bio

Colleen Eilís Murphy is a Dundalk-based printmaker whose work explores mythology, folklore, and tarot, focusing on storytelling, connection, and disconnection—how we engage with and reshape ancient myths. Through layered compositions and bold imagery, she blends traditional symbols with contemporary perspectives.

She is an active member of Creative Spark Print Studio, where she continues to expand her printmaking practice through experimentation and mixed media.

Her work has been exhibited widely across Ireland, including at Rua Red (Borders), Outset Gallery (OXO), An Táin Arts Centre (Reside), and The Library Project (Halftone). She was awarded a Culture Night 2024 grant to organize a community arts event and received an Emerging Artist Award from the Louth Arts Council in 2025. That same year, she was also awarded a residency at Creative Spark.

Beyond her personal practice, Colleen is a dedicated arts facilitator. She has led screen printing workshops at Creative Spark and Mo Chara, facilitated an interactive session for Creative Spark’s 10-year anniversary, and assisted in an immersive art experience at Electric Picnic 2024. She also co-organized and curated a joint exhibition in 2024, overseeing its planning, promotion, and execution.

Her work continues to evolve through printmaking experimentation, merging traditional techniques with contemporary influences.
